Ahhhh, a day of leisure. I'm staying at the JW Marriott for the night. Great hotel. All the amenities of home. Bathrobe, slippers, room service, cable TV, and high-speed internet access. Yes. Very nice. I talked to Lisa for about 2 hours. I have a headset, and we talk using Yahoo! Voice Chat. It works very well. We've been able to talk for about an hour a night. She is certainly keeping me apprised of what's going on with her life, and she's able to see what is going on with mine.

I checked email at work. Lot's of junk. Que Sera, Sera.  I ordered room service for breakfast and sat around and watched TV for a while. Plenty of English speaking channels. I did go out for an hour, but it's very hot today. Back to Marriott for a short nap before the flight.

Because I cancelled my trip to Nepal, I was able to upgrade to Business Class for my flight to India. The lounge is very enjoyable. Plenty of finger foods, pop, water, beer, liquor - which is all free. I'll take 2, thank you. Getting to the airport was a challenge. I'm glad I left early. The traffic was pretty bad, and there were some car wrecks on the highway. Checking in through Business Class was great. No line at check-in, passport control had no line, but the lounge is further away from my gate than I would like. First Class is much closer.

In one week, I've done so much. I have seen the Grand Palace, Attahaya, Reclining Buddha, Bridge on the Rive Kwai, and one of the great temple complexes in the world - Angkor Wat. And that's just the first week. Three more to go. A dream come true.

Everything has been going very well. The only minor problem was blowing up my battery re-charger, but that was a cheap replacement. Cambodia cost more than I thought, but tourism is really driving up the cost. Thailand is extremely cheap. It's going to be hard to say what the best things are, My 'Trip in Review' might be pretty long.

It's time for my flight - 5 1/2 hours. A bit long, but not too bad. I'm sure it will go quickly. I've been listening to the 'Da Vinci Code' on CD. I keep falling asleep every time. Maybe I'll get through more of it this time.

OK, other than First Class, what's better than Business Class? Business Class on Thai Air. I have a huge seat which really reclines, foot rest, 2 glasses of champagne before we take off, and private video screen. Here's what I had for dinner:

  • First Course
    • Marinated Tiger Prawn and Smoked Salmon
    • Royal Project Mixed Salad with Royal Orchid Dressing
  • Main Course
    • Chicken Curry
    • Kesari Rice, Mixed Vegetables
      • or
    • Tab Tim Fish E-saan Style
    • Steamed Thai Jasmine Rice, Mixed Vegetables

    • Assorted Breads, Biscuits, Butter
    • Assorted Cheese and Dried Fruit Tray
    • Fresh Fruits
  • Dessert
    • Ma-Toom Mousse Cake
    • Tea, Coffee, Espresso, Cappuccino

Plus, I get a Royal Orchid Bag, with comb, hair brush, toothbrush, toothpaste, socks, eye covers, ear plugs, Nivana skin cream, and lip balm. Sweet. 'Collateral'  with Tom Cruise is on. Ahh, yes.. another glass of champagne, rum and coke, white wine with my salad, a little port wine after dinner, and some Drambuie with desert. The good life. 'The Elf' with what's his name is on next. I wonder how First Class is, because this is pretty nice.

I was meet at the airport by my tour guide. We will start tomorrow at 10 a.m. It's 50 degrees here, but smoggy.

A good day of leisure.
