Mark and Lisa in Alaska - Day 16

Our last day in Alaska, it's been one heck of a trip. With such a comfortable bed, we decided to sleep in. Once we finally got up, it was time to do all the packing. Since we bought a bunch to things at Wal-Mart for the RV, we had figure out a way to get it all home. UPS, here we come (for a box, at least).

We checked out of our room and headed back to Anchorage. Our first stop was at the UPS store to get a box. Because of the arrest of terrorist and the changes of the airlines rules, we had to call Continental to make sure everything we were bring back would be OK. We got our big box and threw it in the back of the car. We will pack it later when we have time.

We went to the Anchorage Museum of Art and History in downtown Anchorage. The focus of the museum is on Alaska art and history. We had a very good lunch the Marx Brothers Cafe and began our walk around the museum. They had an excellent exhibit on raptors. It was very nice and interesting, not real big, but nice.

Next we went to the Alaska Museum of Natural History. It's nice, but very small. Their website is bigger than there museum. We were only there for about 15-20 minutes.

By this time, we were both still tired. Even though we slept in, it's been a long trip. We got gas, packed up our stuff and went to the airport. It's been fun, but time to go home and face the Oklahoma heat.
