OK, how many times can I win second place? Apparently, the answer is 3 times. I tried to better my odds by entering two chilis, which resulted in a 2nd and a 3rd place finish. Each year I've been beat by someone different. The pot that won 2nd was my hot-hot-hot chili. I put in a bunch of peppers, which the firemen really like. At least I got a prize this year, which were Tums and a cookbook. I know I have a great recipe, I'm just going to have to try something different! Until next year
